We booked our Hong Kong accommodation only a week before we arrived, through wotif.com. One thing you are not short of in Hong Kong is choice of accommodation, although the paradox of choice meant we struggled to decide where to stay, finally settling on the Royal Plaza Hotel in Mongkok, Kowloon.
Spacious room
This is a different hotel choice for us as normally its wee boutique hotels and B & Bs we go for rather than a 693 bedroomed hotel, but it was certainly comfortable and ticked all the boxes for cleanliness, spacious room, comfortable (and huge) bed, efficient staff and fairly good location. The room was a bit jaded in comparison to the rooms on show on their website and the spacious marbled bathroom could have done with a bit of maintenance, but really we have no complaints or issues with the hotel, although for the price we couldn’t possibly… but we were glad we were not paying the full price!
Large Bathroom!
Situated above Grand Century Place, one of the largest shopping centres in the city, you are a 5 – 10 min walk, via the pedestrian footbridge walkway, from Mongkok MTR Station which is the better MTR choice as it gives great scope for exploring the rest of the city.
