St Andrews Bed & Breakfast at Ladeddie Steading, St Andrews

We received a warm and friendly welcome from Susan on arrival at the converted Steading set in the countryside, not too far from the Peat Inn we were dining at and a few miles out of St Andrews.

Guests come through the dining area to the four rooms on offer at the B&B.  Our lovely Black and White room upstairs was clean, tidy, pleasant and comfortable with a nice en-suite showerroom (£80 per night).  But don’t expect any nice views of the countryside you are staying in, it seems the guest rooms are all at the “working” side of the property, with the self-catering cottage at the other end more likely to benefit from views.

Susan makes breakfast in the morning, with guests completing a card the night before with their breakfast order.  The breakfast room looks out to the lovely garden Susan and Tom have  cultivated, but the room is a tad on the cooler side with tiled floor and large window – we were there in winter, of course, so perhaps this is just a seasonal problem.

Steading

Ladeddie Steading is a nice, homely, clean countryside B&B and Susan’s friendly chat and accommodating attitude adds to a lovely stay.
