Seaview House, Napier, New Zealand

Seaview from the house

Seaview from the house

I booked Seaview House through Book-a-Bach worried it would be too good to be true but when we arrived and looked around the house it exceeded our expectations with it’s boutique feel!

In a fabulous location, walking distance to the beach, spa and Napier town centre, the house offers great views of the Bay and town from the generous deck as well as benefiting from a lovely front patio which basks in afternoon and evening sun and comfortably accommodated our group of 8.

Furnished with lovely furniture, luxurious fabrics and personal effects the spotless, well-equipped property is homely, comfortable and stylish.

The King, two double and twin bedrooms were glamorous and comfortable (although the front double room is a tad on the cosy side), the two sea-facing rooms have lovely en-suite bathrooms with great showers – only thing lacking would be some hooks and a shelf to put toiletries and a spot of WD40 on the door runners so they open and close quietly.

The house was cool in the spring evening and there was a mix up with the heat-pump (we couldn’t find the remote control for it) and the calor gas heater didn’t work for us but Leyan, the owner, clarified the matter.

We were delighted with our stay at Seaview and all of us are keen to return and enjoy a further visit and most certainly recommend a stay to everyone!
