Parade Cafe, Oriental Parade, Wellington – brunch review

Brunch

Brunch

We heard tale of the popular Parade Cafe on Oriental Parade, so took the opportunity to enjoy a walk in the sunshine to the Parade to eat brunch.

Busy and bustling, we found a table inside towards the back, although on a nice day sitting outside would be a pleasant option at the numerous outdoor tables.

Menu offers the usual brunch suspects – I favoured pancakes with banana and bacon whilst the Kiwi went for a more traditional breakfast plateful, here known as the Grand Parade, and a good plateful is what we received.

All tasty and doing ‘exactly what it says on the tin’ we ate to satisfaction.  I have to say I am not too convinced the pancakes are freshly made… they tasted all too much like Hot Cakes one can purchase in Moore Wilsons!

Good, strong coffee, mojo, joined our brunch rather late, as we were more than half way through our meal when our flat whites arrived.  We have since brunched at the Cafe and service was on good form and coffee arrived ahead of our food this time!

Bustling venue with a good menu, really can’t see how it won’t hit the spot.
