The Map Room enticed us for dinner not long after our arrival in Bariloche with it’s relaxed pub feel, maps and walkers memorabilia on the walls. We wanted some straight-forward food after a 13 hour bus journey on the Ruta 40, and it provided. I had the mammoth Perito Moreno Lomo which came with a lovely but extremely peppery wine and pepper sauce whist the Kiwi had Entrecote which he ate to satisfaction. There is more pub grub for offer in form of pizza and so on. On a return visit I had spagettis which was a huge disappointment, the pasta was over cooked and the meat sauce was incipid, which surprised me after our initial successful visit.
