I would suggest hiring a car is wise. The distances in this area are significant, the Scottish weather is never predictable and as it's so remote here public transport is available but not frequent. If you want to get out and about to see things, a car will take you from area to area thus allowing you time to fully explore what the area has to offer - plenty walking included! Enjoy. Hi Sarah
