Arrived at 7 Church Street to a friendly and chatty welcome from Scottish May and her English husband Mike. The B & B is charming and has fantastic gardens that provide the ideal spot to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset fade over the mountains that surround you.
We stayed in the front bedroom in the main house but May informed us that we would be the last paying guests to stay in there. It had lovely bedlinen all hand embroidered and the room was spotless. They have recently completed a build at the end of the garden of three gorgeous rooms constructed in a cottage in Cape Dutch style, and from what I saw they are lovely, airy rooms with a more contemporary edge than the room we had in the house and I am sure would provide an excellent stay.
We were given suggestions on where to eat and it was no trouble for them to arrange a booking. Other helpful suggestions were given on places to go and what to see. Lovely!
